Nestlé Egypt
has partnered with online retailer Souq.com to sell its food and beverage products through the internet starting 13 June, becoming the first company to sell grocery products online.
Nestlé will be selling a wide range of products, in addition to exclusive products only available on Souq.com.
Through such a partnership, consumers will also be “only a few clicks” away from buying their grocery products online, making it possible for Nestlé to reach “all Egyptians,”

The venture represents Souq.com’s first step into the e-grocery market. According to research conducted by Nielsen, 55% of those surveyed are willing to start ordering grocery products online.
Omar El-Sahy, general manager of Souq.com–Egypt, said that partnering with Nestlé will provide them with the opportunity to enter a market where 35.6% of household budgets are spent on groceries.
